Tips for different ages
-
Toddlers: Offer chunky crayons; focus on “many colours.”
-
Pre-writers: Trace along the thick lines or dot-to-dot around the coat.
-
Challenge: Ask children to make a pattern (blue–yellow–blue–yellow).
Extension ideas
-
Sing “Jesus Loves Me.”
-
Play “Find the Color”: call a colour and children point to that colour on their coat.
-
Quick recap: “Who got the special coat? Why was it special?”
Print & prep notes
-
Print on A4; set printer to B/W, fit to page.
-
Heavy paper (160–200 gsm) works best if you’re gluing decorations.
